Developer Blizzard has just announced that until November 30 gamers who are interested in getting into the most popular subscription based MMO in the world, World of Warcraft, can do so with significant discounts, getting the whole experience for just 20 dollars or the equivalent in other currencies.

The original game can be bought for just 5 dollars, down from the normal price of 19.99, the same price asked by Blizzard for the first expansion, Burning Crusade, which otherwise costs 29.99 dollars.

The most recent content pack, the Wrath of the Lich King, will set gamers back 10 dollars, reduced from 39.99 during a normal day.

The promotion is intended to draw in some young player blood into World of Warcraft and comes just as other digital distribution sites, most notably Steam, are also offering sales linked to Thanksgiving.

The deals are only available through the Battle.net store at the moment and give all those interested a simple and clear way of getting all the stuff they need to get into the game quickly and level up their characters a little before the release of the next expansion for World of Warcraft, named Cataclysm.

Cataclysm will arrive on December 7 and will remake the entire world of the game, leading to the biggest changes in area design since the original release.

The new expansion also includes two new races, one for each side of the MMO, an increase in level caps, new skills and new raids.

Blizzard has signaled in the last few months, since it has relaunched the Battle.net service along the real time strategy title Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, that it plans to increase the amount of content it delivers through the network infrastructure to gamers.

Some have even speculated that Battl.net could be expanded into an online store for all Activision Blizzard, competing directly with Steam.
