Milla Jovovich hits the big screens in “Resident Evil: Afterlife” on September 10

Fans of actress Milla Jovovich should get used to the idea of not seeing her on the silver screen for a while, because the actress has just said she plans on retiring to dedicate herself to her family.

The star, soon to be seen in the fourth “Resident Evil” film, “Afterlife,” says she and her husband have long been talking about having another baby but her work always got in the way.

This year has been “lost” to various film projects, Milla says, as cited by AceShowbiz, but next year will most likely be the one when she becomes a mommy again.

“Once she [daughter Ever] starts school, I want to stay in one place and be there to take her to school and just have a normal life,” Milla says of her decision to quite the movie industry.

The 34-year-old actress and husband Paul W.S. Anderson have a 2-year-old baby girl and they want another child – and are not willing to put it off any longer.

“When your kid is in school, it’s hard to just pick her up and travel. So right now I am taking advantage of the time when she is mobile,” the actress explains.

Therefore, if she can’t just take the kid out of school to travel with her, she will stay at home instead. Fans must know that Milla has been modeling since 11 and acting since 13 – and she usually gets to travel a lot with her jobs.

“It’s been tough because this year piled up on me starting last fall, and I thought, Wow, I might not be able to have a baby this year,” the star says of the other reason why she wants out of the spotlight, namely to add another member to her and Anderson’s family.

“Right now we are shooting for next year because I don’t want there to be too much of an age difference between the two of them. So it’s gotta happen, and it’s gotta happen soon,” gushes the star.

However, not all is lost for her fans: aside from “RE 4,” which is out in US theaters starting September 10, Milla has another 10 different projects in various stages of development coming out the next two years.
