When it comes down to great sound amplification Marshall is one of the best known names out there, but their headphones line has been somewhat stagnant for a while, lots of fans keenly awaiting on the next generation Marshall offerings to hit the stage, in this case the Minor and Major headphones.

Teased by Marshall a short time ago, these two new headphone models have finally made it out into the world, both of them becoming available for purchase on Marshall's website, although the Minor are marked as “sold out” right now.

But moving all these availability issues let's take a quick look at these interesting creations, starting with the top of the line Major that comes as an over-the-ears headphone solution, featuring a fully collapsible construction, that should make these easier to carry around with you.

Furthermore, the exterior of the headphones is made out of the same type of vinyl as that used by the brand's amplifiers, these also coming with a 1m extension cable as well as a 6.3 mm to 3.5mm adapter.

When it comes down to sound quality, Marshall has opted for a 15.4mm moving coil dynamic speaker for their headphones, the speaker being rated at 15mW input power and featuring a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz.

Moving on to the Minor, this comes actually as a headset offering, Marshall adding a microphone and remote to the mix, making this compatible with a wide range of cell phones.

Sound wise, these too use a 15.4mm moving coil dynamic speaker that features similar performance to its older brother, although it has to settle for lower input power, Marshall rating this at just 2mW.

Compared to its older brother, this also comes accompanied by a set of four interchangeable earpads, ranging in size from S to XL in order to provide its users with a perfect fitting pair of earphones.

Pricing has been established for both these units, the Major coming in at 99.00 dollars or euros, depending on which side of the pond you live, while the minor is available for $59.00 (or euros since the same price policy applies here too).
