14 DAY TRIAL // As they’re preparing to become first-time parents – to twins, no less – Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have also duly enjoyed the winter holidays, with the diva returning to Twitter just the other day. With excellent news.
In a recent tweet, Mariah shows off the present she got from her husband for Christmas and, while other women (be they celebrities or not) settled for an engagement ring at best, Mariah got to have her cake and eat it too.
It must be hard to surprise the woman who has it all, but Nick seemed to have done a wonderful job at it, offering his wife a customized Rolls Royce Phantom, going at about $400,000.
In fact, Mariah herself seems to be having some trouble believing her eyes, saying in a tweet (accompanying the photo also attached to this article) that she still hadn’t come to terms with it.
“Still getting over my Christmas gift from @NickCannon. License plate: mommyMC : )” the diva wrote on her Twitter page.
Of course, perhaps Mariah finds more impressive the license plate than she does the actual gift, since it’s a known fact she’s wanted to be a mother for so long – and has even had to go through one miscarriage to have the babies she’s carrying now.
As we also informed you on a previous occasion, Mariah and Nick are expecting twins sometime this spring. While they’ve confirmed it’s twins they’re expecting, they have repeatedly refused to offer more details on the pregnancy.
Mariah, in her turn, once stressed that she would have kept the pregnancy a secret had it not been for her fans, to whom she felt she owed so much. Living in the public eye means sacrificing a slice of one’s privacy, she said at the time.
Back to the Phantom: Mariah is not the only celebrity to roll in style with it, as one can easily imagine. Other stars to have purchased it include David Beckham, Cheryl Cole and, more recently, Kim Kardashian.
