MTV Movie Awards 2010: Sandra Bullock Kisses Scarlett Johansson

At this year’s MTV Movie Awards, there were two big winners: the second film in the “Twilight” franchise, “New Moon,” and Sandra Bullock, who made her first public appearance since the cheating scandal that did away with her marriage to Jesse James. Honored with the Generation Award for her contribution to the movie industry, Sandra did not waste the good opportunity offered to her – and planted a kiss on Scarlett Johansson, as ContactMusic can confirm.

Not only did Sandra prove that she still has a wicked sense of humor with her speech and seemingly unscripted gesture to kiss Scarlett, but she also showed that there is a very delicate and elegant way of handling personal misfortunes, such as the ones she’s been having in recent months. At the same time, Sandra also took a stand to rubbish reports that she was thinking of leaving showbiz and to express her love for acting, which is, at the end of the day, her daily job.

“Sandra Bullock kissed Scarlett Johansson on stage last night (06.06.10). The brunette actress – who recently split from her husband Jesse James over claims he had cheated on her several times – locked lips with the blonde beauty whilst accepting the Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California yesterday, before admitting she was desperate for her life to return to normal. After grabbing Scarlett, 25, in a passionate embrace, Sandra quipped to the crowd: ‘Now that we have done that, can we please go back to normal – because therapy is really expensive. Go back to making fun of me, I don’t care, it’s time to get back to normal’,” Contact Music writes of how Sandra chose to explain the kiss.

Before that, though, Sandra thanked her former co-star Bradley Cooper and Betty White for being on stage with her, sharing the beautiful moment with her. She also took the time to right a few wrongs done by the media, like say how she too was a regular woman just like any other, cellulite on her thighs included. It was only after that that she turned to Scarlett, not certain why she was there, and kissed her. Scarlett, as it turns out, had come in her husband’s place (Ryan Reynolds) for when he and Sandra would win Best Kiss – which they didn’t, for the statuette went to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart from “New Moon.”

“No matter what you have heard or seen lately I love what I do and I’m not going anywhere... I’d like to clear up a few things. No, I am not dead. Everybody has cellulite, not just me. Paparazzi need more flattering lenses. Whoever established the high road and how high it was going to be should be fired...” Sandra said in her immensely fun acceptance speech.
