Thanks to Capcom's Gamers Day we got to find out a couple of hot and spicy new rumors, like the fact that Lost Planet is coming to the PS3. The acclaimed third person shooter was a hit on the Xbox 360 and the PC, but now it's heading to Sony's platform ready to deliver its neat and fast-paced gaming experience.

The PS3 version of Capcom's blockbuster will be available at the beginning of 2008 and it will feature bonus characters that were also present in the PC version plus the downloadable content we had fun with in the 360 version. This complete product also supports online multiplayer sessions of up to 16 gamers on the PSN. This piece of information may not be as big as the announcement of Street Fighter 4, but still it's decent enough to make it to the first pages of any famous gaming magazine.

Having played the Xbox 360 version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition I must say that I'm quite curios to see how they port the experience to that unique joystick. I don't know if the SIXAXIS will come into play, but the PlayStation has never been much of a shooter-lover, mostly because of the design of its controllers. Since we're in the fantastic land of surprising ports, we might as well see a dumbed-down Lost Planet game, surfacing on the Wii console.

In case you've never played Lost Planet, you can watch the trailer below and be astonished by its graphics, while taking into consideration the fact that the PS3 might even provide more eye candy than its rival gaming devices. Just let those huge spiders attack you and you'll see what true eye candy means! Also, the fact that you'll always fight against the game's climate as the temperature of your body is dropping is an element that will surely make you enjoy the game more than the average shooter.
