The recently delayed Little Big Planet 2 will arrive with an additional set of levels that the developers at Media Molecule have specifically designed to work with the PlayStation Move motion tracking controls, aiming to show how players can themselves use it to then created new content for the game.

James Spafford, who is the community manager at Media Molecule, has told Eurogamer that, “With the main game there will be an extra game - possibly on another disc, maybe on the same disk - that will contain 10-ish levels that demonstrate how Move could work with LittleBigPlanet 2.”

He also addressed the after launch plans the developer has, adding, “And shortly after release we'll do a full DLC pack that's purely Move, and we'll give away the free controls so people can make their own Move levels as well.”

Little Big Planet 2 will not arrive with full support for the PlayStation Move because of the amount of work needed to make the game compatible but after launch the team will have the time needed to make sure that the game uses the full abilities of the PlayStation 3.

The new Media Molecule made title was set to be launched during the fall of this year but Sony chose to delay it to January 18 of 2011, giving the developer more time to polish up the experience and, probably, add support for the new Move powered levels.

Little Big Planet 2 will deliver more customization and creation options than the first game in the series, with Media Molecule saying that most of the top levels for the video games will be created using the same tools that are also available to gamers on launch date.

New game types can now be created, new animations can be recorded and levels can be linked together to create complex narratives.
