Lenovo has a new smartphone coming out, the ET980.
It's a GSM Windows Mobile 5.0 phone that supports GPRS/WAP/Java and has a built-in MP3 player. The four megapixel pocket pc smartphone is small and you can
hold it easily on your hand. You can have a numeric keypad attached to it like Sony Ericsson P series smartphone. Remarkably, it's even smaller than the Treo, measuring 110 x 20 x 60 mm.

Lenovo's new ET980 stands out from the crowd because of its built-in four megapixel digital camera. This may be the highest resolution you can get in a Windows Mobile device, at least for the moment. When keypad is not attached, all functions can be done through the touch screen or a few quick access buttons at the bottom. The ET980 has a 312MHz processor, 64MB of RAM and 128MB of flash ROM, a Mini SD card slot.

Unfortunately, the device is unlikely to hit the US anytime soon, but it will be available on the market in March 2006.
