14 DAY TRIAL // The Uncharted 3 Multiplayer beta is entering its last week of availability, so Naughty Dog, its developer, is deploying brand new game modes and maps for participants, in order to make their experience truly memorable, at least until the final game is released later this year.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is set to improve on every aspect of the already impressive Uncharted 2, and its developer, Naughty Dog, alongside Sony, the game's publisher, have started a multiplayer beta stage in order to try out the new features and mechanics.
The beta kicked off at the end of June, went public last week, and, according to the studio, has surpassed more than 1 million participants.
"One day after the Beta went fully public, we passed one million unique players in the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta," said Naughty Dog Community Strategy Arne Meyer. "Not only that, but the player count is growing with each passing day! We couldn’t be prouder of our community coming out in such numbers to play in the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta."
In order to celebrate the last week of the beta, which is set to be shut down on July 14, the studio has added a new map, the Yemen one, alongside the already playable Airstrip, as well as new gameplay modes, including Team Deathmatch, Plunder, Three Team Deathmatch, Hardcore, Co-op Adventure, Co-op Arena.
Naughty Dog is also highlighting the special rewards you can unlock once the game is released later this year by participating in the current beta stage.
