The upcoming multiplayer beta stage for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has just received its first actual details, with development studio Naughty Dog confirming that it will start at the end of June and will allow players access to plenty of great things.

Uncharted 3 is set to once again take the action adventure series forward on the PlayStation 3, and the multiplayer mode will boast the most improvements over the one we saw in the earlier Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

As we heard back in April, Uncharted 3's multiplayer will see a special beta stage unfold this summer, in order to get feedback from the community and allow gamers special access to the many new features in the upcoming title.

Now, the first actual details about the beta stage were revealed by Naughty Dog to IGN, including its start date, June 28 for PlayStation Plus subscribers or those who bought Infamous 2, and on July 4, for regular PSN users, and will end on July 13.

The level cap will be at 25, while a total of nine different modes are going to be included.

Six of which have been already detailed, including "Team Deathmatch, 3-Team Deathmatch (three teams of two face off), Team Objective (complete the assigned goals), Free For All (kill everyone), Plunder (capture the treasure), High Stakes (gamble with your XP and cash)," while three others are still being kept secret.

Two maps are included in the beta, the Airfield, which we saw depicted in screenshots back in April, and the Chateau one, which appeared in several gameplay videos.

These levels allow 5v5 to face off in regular Team Deathmatch, Team Objective and Plunder modes, while 2v2v2 will be available in Three-Team Deathmatch, and 8 players can enjoy matches in Free for All and High Stakes.

The multiplayer Uncharted 3 beta introduces the new power play mechanic, which gives the losing team in a match the possibility to make a comeback, while the winning team is offered special bonuses for surviving. These power plays include

-Marked Man - A person on the winning team is marked, and the losing team gets 3 points if they kill him. Meanwhile, the winning team gets double cash for each kill and a special medal if the Marked Man doesn't die. -Cursed - The winning team sees all characters as skeletons and friendly fire is turned on. Each time the losing team gets a kill or the winning team kills one of its own, the losing team gets two points. Meanwhile, the winning team gets double cash for each member of the losing team killed. -Exposed - The winning team's location is revealed to the losing team. The winning team gets double cash for each losing team member killed. -Double Damage - Losing team inflicts double damage. Winning team earns double cash for each kill. Special things like boosters, which allow unique abilities to be equipped, are also present, while medals are now going to allow players to pull off unique maneuvers.

Expect more details about the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer beta before the start of it at the end of June and beginning of July.
