After the success of its highly-acclaimed LG KU990 Viewty camera phone, LG Mobile division decided to refresh the series with a new, better device – LG Viewty II aka LG GC900. While the phone hasn't made its appearance in Barcelona, according to the guys over at GSM helpdesk.nl, the Korean company leaked some of the specs of the future LG GC900 device at the LG Dealershow that took place yesterday in the Netherlands. Hopefully the phone will be showcased for the first time at this year's CeBIT 2009, held in Hanover.

The new Viewty II features the same S class 3D interface, like the one that has been included with LG's Arena high-end mobile phone. Furthermore, it has been added a generous 3-inch WVGA touchscreen (800 x 480 pixel resolution), as well as HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 1.4 Mbps.

Obviously, the strong point of the mobile phone will be the 8-megapixel camera with a Xenon flash, manual and auto-focus, image stabilizer, face detection, burst-mode, ISO 1600 and geotagging function.

What is really interesting about this device is the fact that it can record excellent videos in both high-speed and slow-motion modes. Users will also be able to take advantage of the embedded accelerometer for auto-rotate to watch DivX and Xvid movies on the wide screen.

Other features of the rumored LG GC900 include GPS with aGPS function, Push email and microSD slot card for memory expansion (up to 32GB). The device is black at the front, silver at the back and has three regular keys underneath the display.

Even if LG Viewty II aka GC900 won't be officially announced at CeBIT 2009, it should be expected to be released in just a few week. Of course, no info about its price has been disclosed, but it won't be cheaper than its KU990 predecessor, that's for sure.
