Although there is still some time left until CES 2011 opens its doors, more and more manufacturers are starting to showcase the products they plan to launch during this event, during LG's CES Sneak Peek, the Korean company presenting its upcoming HD Sound Bar.

Designed in order to complement LG's flat panel displays, this accessory enhances the audio output of an HDTV by adding additional speakers and subwoofer capabilities to produce powerful 2.1 channel virtual surround sound.

Dubbed the LSB316, the sound bar includes no less than six speaker drivers inside its sleek and stylish exterior, a wireless subwoofer, which can be conveniently placed out of sight, being also offered as part of the retail package.

Furthermore, the LSB316 features Bluetooth support, so it can stream music right from your smartphone, tablet or MP3 player, LG stating its sound bar speaker system can also be used for transmitting sound from the connected sources (such as an HDTV) to a pair of Bluetooth-enabled headphones.

As far as audio output power is concerned, LG's LSB316 can deliver an impressive 280-Watt out of its six 2.5-inch Parabola speakers, making it more than adequate for filling a medium sized room with sound.

"LG's new sound bar delivers a great solution for consumers who want to experience enhanced audio performance but may not have space for a full 5.1 home theater system," said Tim Alessi, director of product development, LG Electronics USA.

"The LSB316 not only pumps up the audio performance of programming on TV, but also brings a richer audio experience to music in an easy to set up and use package," Mr. Alessi continued.

Unfortunately, these are all the details that we get for now, as LG plans to officially release the LSB316 at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in January.
