Report says Kate Gosselin starts shooting for pilot for “mom show” this weekend

Jon Gosselin is currently trying to fight allegations in the media made by his former nanny, according to which they had a month-long affair while she was still working for him. Kate Gosselin, on the other hand, is acting quick on the proverbial 15 minutes of fame she has by moving on to another show, for which she will shoot the first segments this very weekend, as Radar Online reveals.

Word of Kate looking to do something else than TLC’s reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” has been around for months, but it wasn’t until the other day that rumors seemed to gain momentum. According to reports, based on her two-episode experience on The View and the constant support from the public, Mrs. Gosselin will start a mom-centered talk show where she and other celebrities slash moms will discuss problems that mothers all over the world face on a daily basis.

Said and done, as Kate will reportedly start shooting for the show as early as this weekend. “Kate will be shooting the pilot for her proposed new TV show this weekend. Kate is teaming up with Paula Deen, the Southern cooking expert for a show that is planned to have a mix of advice, health and beauty tips and celebrity gossip. The first details of the shows [sic] content were broken exclusively by Radar Online as we revealed not only the content but also that the show is based on the popular Web site Mom Logic.” Radar writes of Kate’s plans for a career in television.

The decision to do a new show, it seems, has also been prompted by Kate’s determination to provide for her children and capitalize on her fame as much as she can at the moment to ensure they will lack nothing in the future. “There is still time to tinker with the show’s format and formula but right now the plan is to have multiple hosts with Paula and Kate and Radar Online leaned that comedian Sandra Bernhard and Tammy Lynn Michaels have both been considered for the job. Michaels is married to singer Melissa Etheridge.” Radar further says of the project.

As of now, no release date has been set. The entire show will be produced by Telepictures, reports say, but Kate will still have to find a network to run it, which means it might take another while until an announcement is made, since she has to shop the pilot around town. Do keep an eye here for more details on this.
