Kate Beckinsale Is a Vision of Color in New Absolut Vodka Ads

Perhaps not that many would associate vodka with a very classy drink, something so subtle and stylish that even the pickiest of ladies would enjoy. The latest campaign from Absolut Vodka has managed to cause quite a stir in this sense, using actress Kate Beckinsale for a plus of glamour and sophistication in what is named one of the hottest campaigns from Swedish drink maker.

The latest ad campaign for Absolut Vodka is unlike most others now running in that it doesn’t just use Beckinsale as a front, but literally turns her into a muse for each type of drink. Working with motto “Every drink is an exceptional experience,” the campaing includes posters for Absolut Bloody, the Absolut Cosmo, the Absolut Crush and the Absolut Tonic Twist, with Kate appearing in three of them, while Zooey Deschanel does the fourth, for Absolut Cosmo.

The idea behind the campaign is that each drink is unique, with an intense flavor, impossible to mistake for another. Because of this, the posters are like explosions of color, with Beckinsale donning outrageous outfits and striking what look like awkward, broken doll poses. The posters also come with recipes for the drinks they advertise, so that those seeing them also get to try them on their own. They have already been unveiled during an exclusive party held in NYC and are to go international soon.

Come to think of it, it’s no wonder Absolut chose Kate Beckinsale for the campaign, seeing how she is considered one of most gorgeous and elegant women in the industry. Just a couple of months ago, for instance, Esquire magazine named her the hottest woman on the scene, saying that it was her likeability and being such a down-to-earth person, and not only her looks, that worked in her favor when being awarded the distinction from the popular magazine.

As we also reported at the time, Kate found herself somewhat surprised by the decision, saying she never saw herself as a symbol of beauty but rather as a “Chihuahua with the soul of a lion” in everything that she did.
