Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that Jesper Kyd, the composer who has already worked on all the titles in the Assassin's Creed series until know, will also be writing and producing the original score for the upcoming Revelations video game.

Kyd has also composed the tracks that players will listen to while going on the newest adventures to star Ezio, Altair and Desmond.

Jesper Kyd has been given the task of adapting the music of Revelations to the themes of the game and he has chosen to mix sources as different as Greek traditional music, Renaissance instrumentation and influences taken from the Middle East.

The well known acoustic and electronic sounds that have been associated with Assassin's Creed since the first title in the series are also present, along with some more emotional and personal pieces.

The entire soundtrack is designed to show off the cultural complexity of Constantinople and suggest the conspiracy undertones that run through the Assassin's Creed series.

For his previous work on the franchise Kyd has received awards like the Gold Spirit Awards, Hollywood Music In Media Awards, GameSpot.com Readers' Choice, GameSpy.com Editors' Choice, Game Audio Network Guild Awards and has been nominated for awards from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, the International Film Music Critics Association, IGN.com, G4 TV and Spike TV VGA.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations will see Ezio Auditore, the hero of the last two games, travel to Constantinople, following the tracks of his ancestor Altair, while in the present Desmond searches for clues about the deeper meanings of the events that he has witnessed, both in the real world and in the Animus.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is set to be launched on November 15 on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC.
