A massive distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack that targeted the Central Bank of Iran took down the organization’s website and disrupted its internal network’s activity on Tuesday.

According to The Algemeiner , which cites the Iranian Labour News Agency, the bank was attacked immediately after the world learned that the negotiations between Iran and Moscow on the country’s nuclear program didn’t go as well as expected.

Yesterday, Iran’s intelligence minister stated that the number of cyberattacks increased after the meeting in Russia.

Israeli government websites were also taken down earlier this week, right after news broke out that the United States and Israel were the ones that created the now-infamous Flame malware.

Iran is currently in the process of developing its own antivirus software, to protect the country against threats such as Stuxnet or Flame.
