According to the latest news on the Web, Sony Ericsson will indeed release a Silver version of its upcoming Sony Ericsson Idou mobile phone. We've already had the chance to take a look at the Silver variant of the device a while ago, and now more images with it have made it into the wild.

It has been said before that the device would come to the market sporting a full-touch display, as well as an impressive 12-megapixel photo snapper, yet there was little information on a possible release date of the device. However, mobilecowboys has it that we should be able to see the high-end handset on the shelves as soon as the third quarter of the year, citing the company itself.

The Sony Ericsson Idou was rumored only a few days ago to be slated for release sometime in October or November this year, though some even said that it might not make it to the market before Christmas. Yet now we learn that the mobile phone maker intends to officially introduce the device sometime in the first half of the year, June most probably, and release it in the third quarter of the ongoing year. Sony Ericsson showcased the Idou for the first time in February, at the MWC show in Barcelona, and we've heard a handful of rumors since then regarding both the specifications and the availability of the device. This time around, it seems that the handset has been spotted in silver, at the Tele-Vision stock market, and the guys from mobilecowboys took a few shots of it, although it didn't have a battery, so they couldn't play around with it at all.

Hopefully, Sony Ericsson will be able to deliver the Idou to the market in the third quarter of the year, assuming that the rumors prove true after all and all goes according to plan. Stay tuned to learn more details as soon as they surface.
