Remember the Acer liquidmini smartphone that the leading computer maker has unveiled to the world a while back? The handset's Ferrari Edtion flavor has just made an appearance on the floor at the IFA 2011 show in Berlin, and Softpedia's editors had the chance to have a better look at it.

The mobile phone comes with a Unique Scuderia Ferrari design, featuring both the red color that we all associate with the brand, as well as the Ferrari logo on the back.

Acer also packed the new device with a 3.2 inches touchscreen display that can deliver a 320 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as with the usual set of sensors that any smartphone features.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the device runs under Google's Android operating system, with the Acer UI on top of it.

In all fairness, liquidmini is based on the older Android 2.2 Froyo OS flavor, but the UI and the special set of Ferrari ringtones, wallpapers, images and videos that Acer loaded on it will make users forget about that. There is also a customized Ferrari Bluetooth headset to enjoy.

The smartphone also comes with social networking featuers powered by the Acer SocialJogger, as well as with support for Google Mobile services, and with access to applications and games.

Although it reminds us of top cars, the Acer liquidmini comes only with a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor with Adreno 200 GPU, complemented by 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM.

The specifications list of this device also includes a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, as well as HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth capabilities.

Moreover, it comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper that can shoot videos, along with Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS receiver, a 3.5mm headphone jack, HTML browser, and great multimedia capabilities.

The mobile phone measures only 110.4 x 57.5 x 13 mm and weighs in at 108 grams, while packing a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery that can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time, or up to 480 hours of standby time.
