A new tablet PC is now available for purchase in Canada, the Acer Iconia A100, a 7-inch device that runs under Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.

The new mobile device was already made available for purchase in a series of other markets around the world, and is now up for grabs for Android enthusiasts in Canada as well.

All those who would like to enjoy the capabilities of a Honeycomb tablet PC without breaking the bank can now head over to FutureShop to have a look at this device.

The Acer Iconia A100 is listed there with a price tag of $350 attached to it, without the need to sign for a contract agreement or the like.

The device sports appealing hardware specifications, and all those who will choose to acquire it will certainly see it like a great deal.

After all, the possibility to purchase a new tablet PC that sports an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core application processor for only $350 does not emerge every day.

“The Acer Iconia Tab A100 combines the best of both mobility and power,” the retailer notes on its website.

“Inside this innovative 7-inch touchscreen device is an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, NVIDIA GeForce graphics, and the Android Honeycomb OS, delivering impressive performance in everything you do.”

The 7-inch display on Iconia A100 boasts a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, which should prove great for viewing photos or videos while on the go, as well as for browsing the Internet.

Moreover, users will enjoy a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back of Iconia A100, with auto focus, flash and video recording, and a 2MP camera on the front, a great option when it comes to video calling.

The new device also arrives in Canada with WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity capabilities, as well as with access to the Android Market for downloading and installing applications and games.
