Glyphic Entertainment, as the developer, and Legacy Interactive, as the publisher, have announced that they are working on a new video game based on the well-known television series House M.D., which is set to be launched exclusively on the DSiWare download service for the line of Nintendo handheld on May 30.

The game will be called House, M.D. - Globetrotting and will cost 800 Nintendo DSi Points, which is the equivalent of 8 dollars.

The game will see Doctor House meet a new character named Henry, who is an archeologist that has found fame in a television series and seems to be more interested in making sure that his reputation survives than in making sure that he himself stays alive.

The developers are saying that they will be including all the eight stars of the television show and that the game will combine complex medical puzzles with an assortment of mini games, all needing to be solved in order for the player to discover clues about the health of the patient and devise a treatment.

The House M.D. video game is being developed in a partnership with a division of NBC Universal, which means that all of the familiar features of the show will be seen in the DSiWare title.

Ariella Lehrer, who is the president and chief executive officer of Legacy Interactive, has stated when the new game was announced, “We are thrilled to be co-publishing our first game on the Nintendo DSiWare service, particularly one based on such a popular TV show as HOUSE.”

She added, “Legacy has a successful history of delivering episodic, downloadable game content based on TV shows. We hope that fans enjoy the first game episode and come back each month for more.”

Legacy Interactive is also promising that this is just the first game based on House M.D. to be launched this year, with another four episodes set to arrive at one month intervals.
