Legacy Interactive has announced the launch of a House M.D. video game, designed using the license of the popular television show that follows Gregory House and his team as they try to diagnose some of the toughest cases in the medical world.

The game has been created in partnership with Universal Partnerships & Licensing, which is representing the NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group.

The launch of the game comes just ahead of the debut of the seventh season of the television show, which comes on September 20 and will depict the characters as they have been portrayed during the previous seasons of the show.

The House M.D. game will mix adventure style gameplay, which will see players move around the Princeton Plainsboro Hospital and interact with the environment, with a host of mini games that simulate medical actions, like patient interventions and laboratory tests.

Ther are 5 complex medical cases to think about and solving them all includes more than 100 puzzles and mini games that will test the skills and the patience of the player.

The game aims to replicate all the signature elements of the television show, including searching homes, performing surgery and interrogating loved ones to see who is lying and why.

Players can also try out House M.D. On the official site from USA Network, called Character Arcade, with a full 30 minutes of gameplay available.

Ariella Lehrer, who is the president and Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Interactive, stated, “We are thrilled to be publishing a game based on such a popular and high quality brand like House M.D.. We knew from the beginning it would be a challenge to live up to the show’s high standards, but our team did a great job and it shows in every part of the game experience, from the detailed character art to the hilarious script.”
