Which explains why she keeps going back to him, report says

When Heidi Montag revealed her new, surgically altered face a few weeks ago, most were shocked by the extent of the makeover, but also by the kind of work ethic a surgeon would have to do this kind of work on a perfectly attractive 23-year-old. This aside, it could be that the reason why the reality star chose to have 10 different procedures done in a single day is to be found in the surgeon’s office: namely in the fact that she has a huge crush on him, Star magazine says in its latest print issue (story via here).

Apparently, Heidi, though admittedly happily married to “The Hills” co-star Spencer Pratt, has developed a huge crush on her own plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, which is why she keeps coming back to him to ask him to do more work on her. Whether she hopes she’ll be thus transformed into something he might fall or whether she believes she can deepen their relationship by constantly putting herself in his way is not known, but friends claim she’s head over heels with the doctor.

“‘Heidi has known Dr. Ryan for years, but lately she’s totally crushing on him and comes up with any excuse she can to stop by his office,’ dishes an insider. ‘She makes appointments for the most ridiculous things and stays as long as possible…’ While [Heidi's] surgeries require lots of attentive medical follow-up, Spencer, 26, got a shocking wake-up call when he realized that his 23-year-old wife of less than a year is mesmerized by her handsome surgeon!…” Star magazine writes.

“‘Heidi has found a lot to be attracted to in Dr. Ryan,’ says the insider, noting the 49-year-old is a multi-millionaire with a highly respected practice… ‘Let’s put it this way,’ says another source. ‘Spencer is fast food. Dr. Ryan is the Ritz. Spencer has to scrounge around for money, and as for his reputation? Well, you know. Dr. Ryan is already filthy rich and is considered a genuinely caring person.’ The surgeon is beloved for his charity work, especially the non-profit he founded, Malibu’s Bony Pony Ranch Foundation, which helps need, inner-city kids,” the tabloid goes on to say.

However, either Dr. Ryan doesn’t feel the same for Heidi or he’s onto her and will not fall into her trap. Just recently, as he started taking a lot of heat in the media for his decision to ok so many interventions on Montag without as much as wondering about her state of mind (a young woman who alters her appearance to such an extent must certainly have some mental issues, many said at the time), Dr. Ryan bitterly defended himself, saying Montag was delusional at best when she spoke in detail about the interventions she had undergone.
