Heidi Montag Addicted to Painkillers, Fame

When she came out and boasted having underwent 10 different surgical procedures in one single day, Heidi Montag made room for speculation on her sanity and whether she needed counseling for her confidence issues, as her own mother seems inclined to believe. According to friends of her and husband Spencer Pratt speaking to Us Magazine, things are starting to get out of control.

Because of the massive surgery she’s had, and the pain she had to go through recovering from them, Heidi has developed an addiction to painkillers, unnamed but admittedly reliable tipsters reveal. Even so, she and Pratt continue to be just as desperate for attention as they were when they first started off in showbiz, especially now that interest in Heidi’s makeover seems to be dwindling. That is to say, both are also addicted to fame.

“Sources on the set of The Hills fear that Heidi Pratt is developing a dangerous addiction to painkillers – months after her recovery from plastic surgery. ‘She’s a shell of her former self,’ a show insider tells the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today. […] Indeed, Heidi and her husband, Spencer, have developed increasingly weird behavior. While their 2008 elopement to Mexico was done with a knowing wink, they’re recently ‘crossed over to this bizarre place,’ the source says,” Us Magazine writes. A rep for the couple is, of course, denying all these allegations, calling them “ridiculous.”

“Heidi only agreed to get 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day last November ‘because she knew it would be a huge story,’ an insider says. […] ‘They are addicted to the fame,’ the source says. ‘As The Hills winds down and people start to care less, they are desperate to get back that high.’ Pals say they’ve always had a thirst for fame – especially Spencer,” the publication further writes.

As per the same insiders, if it weren’t for Spencer, Heidi would still be her old self, not selling herself in the media to prolong her 15 minutes of fame. She’d probably be married, with children and living in the suburbs, the same spies believe.
