Halo Equals Mario?

If you were to ask me, there is no resemblance between Mario and Halo, on any level. But the guys over at 1up.com, one in particular, Luke Smith, thinks so.

Reading his post on Halo 3, I soon realized that he was a true fan of the series. First, he acknowledged that Zelda games as well as Metal Gear are "consistently excellent" but confessed that Halo does it for him. Smith said that Halo was the first shooter with substance that he had ever played. He also described briefly his Halo history and closed by saying that for him, Halo is like Mario to others. Nice one! As if there were any degree of comparison between Halo and Mario.

Looks like Halo makes the headlines every single day. I'm getting sick and tired of Halo and it hasn't even come out yet. In fact, an official release date was not even announced yet. All we know is that the game is developed by Bungie and that it will be published by Microsoft.

As regarding characters, Master Chief will still be present in Halo 3, accompanied by Cortana, Gravemind, Commander Miranda Keyes, Sergeant Major A.J. Johnson and Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker. Of course, the game is set to take place on Earth.
