After Gates has reveled that Halo is still under development and declared his satisfaction regarding the fact that it will be launched in the same time as Play Station 3, a post on the forum within the Team Xbox site has brought this title back to the attention of the public.

It looks like the post belongs to somebody close to one of the developers working for Bungee, the company involved in the Halo project, and contains a lot of precise details.

According to the forum, it looks like Halo 3 will have an extremely well developed multiplayer system, and the players will be able to confront bots in scenarios derived from the game's storyline. Moreover, Halo 3 will have multiplayer maps able to support up to 50 players.

It also seems that Halo 3 is also preparing a more interesting story than the previous titles did, and will contain more cinematic sequences.

The post also mentions that a map and movie editor are being prepared for Halo 3, that would allow the players to build their own maps and video sequences which they could later on transmit through the Xbox Live system.

Although the comment seems to be rather well documented, and the details look like having been copied from the press release announcing the game, there is still no official confirmation of the game's existence and even the author of this post is not completely sure that the details are real or just a work stage.

In any case, the news has been quite a sensational one and has made a lot of people dream about the way Halo 3 could look like.
