Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation seems definitely determined to come to the market in the near future with a series of new handsets running under Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, one of which would be the HTC Mega, a new handset that just popped up into the wild via Wi-Fi Alliance's website.

As many of you might already know, this is not the first HTC device that surfaces on the Web lately, as only yesterday we learned about another Windows Mobile-powered phone from the company, the HTC Leo. Spotted on an accessories company website, HTC Leo's name came along with three other mobile phone monikers, the HTC Rome, the HTC Click and the HTC Mega.

The W-Fi Alliance has just approved the Wi-Fi Alliance HTC Mega for Wi-Fi usage, cellpassion reports, which means that it will come to the market with 802.11b/g WLAN on board, though nothing else besides this has been unveiled. The Filling shows a “MEGA 100 Series” product with the Mega model codename. If we were to put all the pieces together, the only thing that seems to be obvious is that this would be the same device as the one reported on yesterday.

Unfortunately, there are no exact details on what the phone will look like or what it might include in terms of hardware or functionality, though we're pretty sure that more pieces of information will surface in the near future. Hopefully, something more solid about the HTC Leo and Rome (which, along with Mega, will supposedly come with Windows Mobile) will also become available.

As for the fourth new HTC handset that emerged, the HTC Click, rumors point towards an Android-powered mobile phone, which should turn into a cheaper HTC Hero when available for purchase. At the same time, the Mega is also rumored to feature touchscreen capabilities, while coming to the market with WM 6.5 on board. Until more details become available, these remain only in the speculation area.
