Sony has just announced that last year's God of War Collection, containing both the original God of War and God of War II, will be making its way as a digital download from the PlayStation Store next month.

For those unaware, Sony, in anticipation for the release of God of War III this year, launched a special collection of the first two games, which were originally made for the PlayStation 2.

These titles were remastered in high definition 720p graphics, complete with anti-aliasing, ran at a smooth 60fps and even had built-in trophy support, so gamers could show their skills to others.

Now, after the collection was released last year for the PlayStation 3 in North America, and this year in Europe, Sony has decided to bring the two titles to the PlayStation Store next month, as a digital download.

According to the company, the two titles can be downloaded separately, or as a collection, for a discounted price.

Sadly, all of the bonus content included in the retail release of the God of War Collection, like making of videos or documentaries about the different features, won't be included in these digital releases.

Pricing for the North American release hasn't been revealed, but in Europe and the UK, the games will be priced individually at €17.99/£13.99, while the bundle costs €29.99/£23.99.

Bearing in mind current retail rates and regular PlayStation Store pricing, expect each game to cost 20 U.S. dollars, while the collection might fetch around 35 dollars.

The God of War Collection will arrive on November 2 on the North American PlayStation Store and November 3 on the European one.

At the same time, PSP owners will also be able to download God of War: Ghost of Sparta, a new exclusive title for the handheld platform, which will unlock new content in God of War III.
