14 DAY TRIAL // For many months, “300” star Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston were romantically linked in the tabloid media, no matter how much either of them denied reports. Now that Aniston has moved on to patch things up again with former flame, musician John Mayer, it’s time for Butler to go on with his life as well: and he’s chosen to do so with Jessica Simpson, PageSix says, as cited by JustJared.
Simpson, as you must know, has recently come out from a relationship with Tony Romo, with whom she reportedly planned on getting married and maybe even start a family in the next couple of years. Butler, on the other hand, has the reputation of a womanizer who will not stop until he beds all hot celebrities (a rumor that he personally finds hilarious, because it’s not true, he says). From this to having the two out on a date is nothing but a small step, and PageSix has already taken it.
Apparently, the two went out for dinner the other day, but their date was more than just two people eating together, insiders tell the tabloid media. This could be the beginning of a very beautiful friendship, as the saying goes, as the two stars seemed very much into each other. “They were at a table with friends, but Jessica and Gerard, who sat next to each other, seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours. They were laughing and flirting and eventually left together, along with [her hairstylist Ken Paves].” an unnamed spy tells PageSix, as cited by JustJared.
As fans have already learned, for many months, Butler and Aniston were presumably in a relationship that started as they were shooting for “The Bounty” in New York, or so the tabloids would have it. At one point, they were said to be so infatuated with each other, that they almost acted like in high school, stealing kisses on the set when they thought no one was looking, holding hands when the workday was over and basically acting just like a couple would.
“We saw him give her a little kiss. They were very lovey-dovey. We watched them at one point start to hold hands, but she pulled back because she realized people were watching. They look like they’re in the beginning phase of a relationship that’s really nice.” a source who claimed to have witnessed certain things while shooting a scene on the set at the Belmont Park race track parking lot was telling the media, as we also reported at the time.
