Those that haven't experienced Epic Games' extremely popular Gears of War saga are in for a special treat, as U.S. retailer GameStop has just confirmed that a Gears of War Ultimate bundle will be released this February.

According to a GameStop representative, the Gears of War Ultimate edition will include both Gears of War 1 and 2, in a single package, priced at $29.99.

This bundle will be out on February 16, in the USA, and has been confirmed by Microsoft, the publisher of the Gears of War franchise.

This backs up a leak on GameStop's website last week, which had a February 15 release date attached to Gears of War Ultimate.

Sadly, no other details were revealed by GameStop or Microsoft.

As such, we don't know if this Gears of War Ultimate bundle has a token for entry in the future multiplayer beta stage of Gears of War 3, nor if it has any of the downloadable content released for the two games since their original launch, back in 2006 and 2008, respectively.

Still, for those late to the Gears of War party or who want a quick refresher course before the release of Gears of War 3, in fall of this year, the Gears of War Ultimate bundle looks to be a great deal.

Don't forget that February will also be the month when Epic Games releases Bulletstorm, an original first-person shooter developer by its Polish subsidiary, People Can Fly.

Bulletstorm's Epic edition will include access into the multiplayer beta stage of Gears of War 3, which is scheduled to appear around April this year, at least according to Epic Games president Mike Capps.

Bulletstorm will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 22, while Gears of War Ultimate is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
