Samsung seems set to prove to the world that the flagship Android-based Galaxy S mobile phone is one of the hottest such devices launched on the market during the ongoing year. The phone already arrived in various markets around the world, and was recently announced to arrive in even more markets, United States included. In addition to learning that it already impressed thousands of Koreans within a matter of days, we caught word that Canadian mobile phone users should also benefit from the features Galaxy S packs inside.

Bell Canada is one carrier that would soon offer its customers the option of purchasing this high-end device. The operator would have the phone available on its airwaves as the Galaxy S Vibrant, and, although no specific details emerged on pricing and availability, it seems that the phone would start selling before the summer is gone. To make things even more interesting, Samsung Hub reports that additional Galaxy S smartphones are expected to arrive in Canada throughout the rest of 2010. The phone can be seen at Bell here.

The specifications list of this Galaxy S Vibrant handset on its way to Canada reportedly includes a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, complemented by a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor, the same as with all the other Galaxy S devices. Moreover, the phone should include a 5-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 and HSPA connectivity options, GPS receiver, a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, DLNA, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Samsung's TouchWiz 3.0 UI.

In related news, we learn that more than 100,000 Galaxy S units were sold in Korea during the first six days of handset's availability. The Android-based mobile phone was launched in the country on the airwaves of SK Telecom, which announced that the record sales number was achieved between June 24, when the device went on sale, and June 29. According to the wireless carrier, the first 10,000 units were sold during the first five hours alone.
