Forza Motorsport 3 was one of last year's biggest racing games, delivering one of the best experiences possible on the Xbox 360, and now, after a year since its release, it will see a new version available in the form of the Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection.

Forza Motorsport 3 delivered a hefty number of high end sports cars, as well as a lot of new ones through multiple downloadable content packs that included special motorsport race cars.

Now, with the Ultimate Collection, people who missed out the first time around can get the original Forza title, as well as all of the content released up until now for it on Xbox Live.

Besides that, a recent collaboration between Microsoft and BBC will ensure that Ultimate Collection buyers will receive a wide array of content from the world's most popular car show, Top Gear.

“Bringing together Top Gear and Forza Motorsport is a natural fit,” said Dan Greenawalt, franchise director at Turn 10, the studio within Microsoft Game Studios that created and nurtures the Forza Motorsport franchise and community.

“Top Gear is all about automotive passion and playing around with cars which is exactly what we deliver with Forza Motorsport games. We are looking forward to collaborating with their team to bring some of what they do so well on television to our game design process.”

The Ultimate Collection will have 90 minutes of special Top Gear TV content, as well as a special collection of cars, entitled "Stig’s Garage Car Pack", which contains the Koenigsegg CCX, Lexus LFA and Mercedes Benz SLS-AMG.

"It's incredibly exciting to be teaming up with such a big name game,” said Andy Wilman, creative director at Top Gear. “I fear we'll have to be a bit more ambitious and a bit less rubbish when dealing with these chaps."

In total, Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection will have over 500 cars and more than 100 different track configurations on which to race all of those virtual vehicles, and, besides that, a special Xbox Live Top Gear theme will also be included in the deal.

The game is set to appear in North America on October 26, the UK and Germany on October 29, and Japan on November 11.
