At the end of 2010, Eddie Cibrian proposed to country singer and actress LeAnn Rimes, with a 5-carat engagement ring believed to have cost him no less than $85,000. Now, his ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, is telling the media he might as well have bought it with the money he didn’t pay her for child support.

Fans must know of the scandal that broke a while back, when one of the US weeklies came out with a story about how Eddie and LeAnn were having an affair, despite the fact both were married at the time.

In just months, it turned out that the rumor was true, which is probably why many still can’t think of LeAnn in any other terms than homewrecker. Brandi, Eddie’s ex, surely seems to be among them.

In a recent interview with Radar Online, the former model says she heard of Eddie’s engagement right after he had the amounts he paid her in child support slashed on grounds that he’s not making as much money as he did once.

Though she’s not clearly stating it, the implication is that, while Eddie no longer has money to support his 2 kids, he certainly seem to have plenty to spend on an engagement ring.

“LeAnn Rimes received a sparkling $85K engagement ring from new love Eddie Cibrian after his child support payments to his ex-wife were slashed because Eddie’s income had dipped, Radar Online has learned,” Radar writes.

At the same time, Brandi is forced to look for some other place to live because she’s seeing bills pile up and she’s running out of money.

“Look, I don’t mind that he got her a ring but the timing wasn’t obviously the best and the truth is the communication is not great right now,” Brandi tells the aforementioned publication.

“I just want to get on with my life and to move forward but it is really tough at times because everything has been so very public,” she adds.

“I’m looking for work and trying to get my real estate license but it is a gradual process – I’m not saying Eddie is a bad guy and he is a great father but I just wish it all could be a lot easier,” Glanville explains.

So far, neither LeAnn nor Eddie has responded in any way to the innuendo that he bought her an engagement ring from the money he should have given Brandi to support the 2 kids.
