She’s been just recently named one of the most beautiful people of this past decade and, clearly, her sold-out shows can also stand as proof for her immense appeal she has for the public. According to Dita Von Teese herself, speaking with Suicide Girls a while back, when promoting her latest book, her body is her only claim to fame, and this is precisely why she takes great care of it.

Though she might not seem the athletic type, given the nature of her job, Dita does work out a lot to make sure she stays in shape. She’s a burlesque dancer who does her number in a martini oversized glass and, as such, she needs to put in the extra effort to make sure that, first off, she always looks impeccable and, secondly, that she is physically able to pull those daring dance moves.

“I do a lot of Pilates. I work out with Mari Windsor in LA. She’s amazing. I do that about 4-5 times a week,” Dita was telling SG a short while ago. The star’s love for Pilates is not a secret, though, since she’s been repeatedly spotted by the paparazzi when going to the gym to stretch. As a side note, every time that happened, Dita was still impeccably dressed and with her perfect makeup on, which has prompted many to say that she rarely, if ever, stepped out of her onstage character.

“She has this amazing DVD every girl should have. It’s a 20 minute [backside] and leg workout with a rubber band. I do it when I’m traveling. Sometimes I do yoga too, and then I also have a little trampoline that I take out in my house, and I run and dance on that thing to my favorite obnoxious dance music. It’s a killer cardio workout. I love to eat, you see, so I have to work out. I believe that variety is the key to keeping up the momentum and having a successful workout regime,” the dancer further explained.

In other words, it would certainly seem that Dita has found the perfect way to enjoy the good food restaurants around the world have to offer, and act and prevent the pounds from piling on. The key to everything in life, the dancer always says, is moderation and it seems to be working wonders for her.
