This is the second year burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese collaborates with lingerie giant Wonderbra, but the collaboration has been so far incredibly successful to suddenly stop short. The other day in London, flanked by gorgeous models wearing her latest creations, Dita launched the signature Party Edition for Wonderbra, as British publication the Mirror can confirm.

The 36-year-old star kept herself fully covered for the launch, choosing to let professional models showcase her creations for the lingerie company. The event took place at the Dorchester Hotel in London and, although Dita herself did not model, she happily posed for photographs for the media together with the two girls.

For the photo-op, the dancer chose a somber, all-black ensemble, with a low-cut décolletage and elbow-long, leather gloves. The models’ hair was styled to resemble Dita’s and, at the same time, to go with the 40s-50s theme of the collection.

Just like the first line she designed for Wonderbra and her own style, the Party Edition is heavily inspired in old, classic designs. Thus, the new line includes plenty of lace and velvet, as well as bows, flowers and sequins. The usual combination of red and black is also common to a few creations from the new line, but, as fashion insiders also point out, it’s not this that makes the Party Edition that special, as is the delicate and extremely feminine design of each item.

As Dita also says, all the items that are based on her designs are only things she would wear herself – and all fans know that this is one woman who says all ladies should treat their body with proper respect, and that includes dressing well. “I’ve always wanted to do something with lingerie and it was important for the finished product to be something I would wear myself.” the dancer said after Wanderbra announced the collaboration last year.

Dita’s first line for the lingerie giant came out last September and, from what figures indicate, it was extremely successful, which is also why the company decided to have her back for a second collection. Just like the first one, the Party Edition will also be available exclusively in Europe.
