Right after a Blizzard executive said that the company will bring games to consoles if they play well, the senior designer of Diablo III, one of the most expected titles coming from the company, revealed that the game is pretty suited for consoles.

According to Jason Bender, who is the senior designer for the upcoming Diablo III, the game might fair well if it is brought onto consoles.

“I think it is suited to consoles,” Bender said. “We’re definitely working, obviously, on the PC version. This is something that’s been brought up a lot about Diablo.”

Don't go thinking that the studio is fencing its bets and working on the PC and console versions of Diablo III though, as Bender quickly says that the question on whether or not the role playing game will head to platforms like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 is still open.

He added: “It’s sort of an ongoing question. And I’m sure we would all love to play it on console, but right now, we’re just focused on what we’ve got in front of us. Who knows what the future holds? It’s hard to say.”

This isn't the first time Blizzard talked about the possibility of Diablo III coming to consoles, but in the past it has always denied that such a project was in development.

The original Diablo was ported to the PlayStation 1 back in 1998 by EA, but its sequel, Diablo II, only appeared on the PC.

Diablo III has been a long time coming, and Blizzard has just revealed the last of the game's five classes, the Demon Hunter, at last weekend's BlizzCon.

Even if it also revealed that the game is more than halfway done, the company has yet to confirm a solid release date for the role playing dungeon crawler, so PC and maybe even console owners still need to wait until they can get their hands on it.
