Ubisoft has revealed at the E3 their new Imagine series of video games targeted at girls aged 6 to 14 years old. As the official report informs, the Imagine line allows girls to explore their favorite interests and hobbies (as indicated in extensive lifestyle research on this audience), in an interactive and entertaining way. Most of the announced titles will be launching on Nintendo's DS this year, and the last will follow in 2008.

So here are the games launching in October this year and early 2008, respectively:

Imagine Fashion Designer - October 2007 Imagine Animal Doctor - October 2007 Imagine Babyz - October 2007 Imagine Master Chef - October 2007 Imagine Figure Skater - early 2008

"Ubisoft is excited to finally offer young girls a line of games that give them the chance to explore their hobbies and interests in interactive and creative experiences," said Helene Juguet, senior director of marketing at Ubisoft. "Our consumer research revealed that the young girls' market has been relatively overlooked. We are happy to introduce a variety of titles relevant to what girls in this age group have indicated they are most interested in."

You're probably curious as to what Imagine Master Chef does. Don't worry, in case you misread the title (which you probably did), that's Master "Chef," not Halo's Master Chief. So, Imagine Master Chef allows players to create recipes from all over the world using the stylus to prepare, stir and cook ingredients. Players can customize their kitchens with utensils and appliances. Fun mini-games include cooking quizzes and kitchen challenges.

I guess there's no point in praising the Nintendo's consoles anymore. Heck, not a day goes by that a famous developer/publisher doesn't announce a batch of titles for them, and especially for the very popular Nintendo DS. OK then, keep in mind that the first 4 titles roll out in October 2007, with Imagine Figure Skater launching in early 2008.
