A single player campaign that you're going to love

The most awaited demo of the month (beside Need for Speed: ProStreet) has arrived and in case you haven't guessed what title I'm talking about, it's Crysis, Crytek's latest masterpiece. Packing 1770MB and a neat single player campaign piece of gameplay, the demo's available for download right HERE, so you'd better leave that Xbox 360 ProStreet alone and start playing this baby.

Crysis gets officially released on November 16 in the US and Europe, threatening to surpass the fellow FPS hits of the year, Halo 3, and BioShock. If you've ever played Far Cry, consider this its successor, only better looking and with a totally revamped set of weapons. This time, the setting is futuristic and you're using a "Nano Muscle Suit", an exoskeleton that will seem familiar to those who have played a Metal Gear Solid title before.

Don't fret, as this is an open-ended game, so there are many ways of accomplishing your mission and destroying aliens and human foes. Your Nano Suit has 4 modes: Speed, armor, strength and cloak, each of them enabling you to do superhuman actions like lifting heavy objects, running faster or becoming invisible. An important fact is that you'll be constantly regenerating (while in armor mode) so there's no need for pickups or medi kits like in most games to date.

Also, the AI of the game is one of the best I've seen, as all human enemies will act like real human beings, talking, smoking, creating ambushes or feeling sick. In case you're not fond of the single player experience provided by the demo, you'll surely love the multiplayer mode of the full version, which allows 32 players to exercise real-time combat and tons of customizable options.

With such great features, after checking out Crysis, one can only sit and wonder "Halo who?!". The battle for the next "Game of the year" award just got tougher!
