Cheryl Cole Splits from Husband Ashley, Moves Out

It’s less than a month that word got out that singer Cheryl Cole was thinking of putting her duties as a judge on X Factor on hold in order to start a family with husband Ashley Cole. These past two weeks, though, have seen the two drifting apart more and more in light of cheating allegations, with Cheryl even moving out of the house to live in a hotel until the scandal dies down and she decides what to do next, the Daily Mail informs.

Problems began when a glamour model Sonia Wild went to the The Sun with claims and proof that she had an affair with Ashley. As proof of that, she offered many text messages she received from the footballer, of a nature that left little to the imagination as to their relationship, and pictures he had also sent to her mobile. Cheryl took the news pretty hard, reports in the British media say, and decided to move to a hotel until things settled down a bit to think of what to do next.

“Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley have spent much of the last two weeks living apart, after the singer decided to move into a London hotel. They did not reunite yesterday for Valentine’s Day, as footballer Cole was laid up at their Surrey home with an ankle injury and his wife was working in the capital. […] Since that news broke last week, Cheryl, 26, has been staying at Kensington’s Baglioni Hotel rather than their home,” the Mail argues. Things aren’t about to get better either, as another woman has stepped forward to claim she too had an affair with the footballer.

“[Cole’s] publicist insisted she was merely using the room as a base for a promotional tour of Europe. But her home is actually much closer to Heathrow airport, from where she has flown to the Continent several times in the past fortnight. Mrs. Cole’s publicist did little to quell speculation by refusing to comment on a string of questions about the relationship. She collected Ashley from hospital on Friday after he had an operation on his broken ankle,” the same publication goes on to say.

This is not the first time that the two stars are dealing with allegations of infidelity, since Cheryl spent most of 2008 fighting to save her marriage, after another woman went to the tabloids to say Ashley had been unfaithful to her. The recent allegations also prove that Ashley’s cheating ways go back to the first days of their marriage.
