Activision and Infinity Ward have pinned a date on the upcoming Terminal map for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as the fan favorite from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 is making a comeback later this month, for free.

Modern Warfare 3 has received all sorts of new maps in recent times thanks to Activision’s aggressive DLC strategy and now developer Infinity Ward has decided to reward loyal fans with a new and completely free map, in the form of Terminal, a remastered version of the level from Modern Warfare 2.

We have already heard about it earlier this week, but now Activision has pinned a release date on the new level, which hits the Xbox 360 for Call of Duty Elite premium subscribers on July 17, while non-premium gamers get it one day later, on July 18.

As of yet, there’s no word when the map will reach the PS3 or PC versions of Modern Warfare 3, but you can expect an announcement later this month.

Until then, check out the first screenshot of this remastered map above.
