Wireless services provider Boost Mobile announced the release of a new smartphone that sports 3G connectivity and support for the Nationwide Sprint Network, namely the BlackBerry Curve 8530 handset from Research In Motion (RIM).

The new device is set to make an appearance on the carrier's offering with a price tag of $249.99 (excluding taxes) attached to it.

The new BlackBerry Curve 8530 is already being delivered to Boost Mobile exclusive retail stores and to select dealers, it set to become available online on the carrier's website on October 14th, and should hit major retail outlets before the end of the month.

The Curve 8530 sports built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad, GPS receiver, and a photo snapper with video recording.

The new device can offer fast access to social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace and Flickr, while also being able to provide a great multimedia experience, not to mention the fact that it offers access to various applications via the BlackBerry App World.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone comes with a MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space (a 2GB card included in the package).

Some other specs of the new device include:

- 3G high-speed data (where available) - Support for BlackBerry services with access to up to 10 supported e-mail accounts, including most popular ISP e-mail accounts such as Yahoo!, Windows Live Hotmail, AOL and Gmail - Full HTML Web browsing - Supports voice-activated dialing and Bluetooth (version 2.1) - Multimedia, text and instant messaging - GPS with support for location-based applications, including geotagging pictures, voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and call forwarding

At Boots Mobile, users can pair the new device with the BlackBerry Monthly Unlimited plan, which offers unlimited domestic voice, text and Web service without the need of a long term contract agreement.
