Sprint has just announced that it will sell the Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 starting on 10th October 2010. This seems to be the third carrier that will retail the smartphone, after Verizon and T-Mobile are already selling the device

There's also rumors that Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 will be available from AT&T earlier next month.

Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 comes with the usual Blackberry 5.0 OS, but it will probably receive a major software update to 6.0 in 2011, but there's no info about the exact date.

The device bears the same layout and shape design as any other RIM's smartphone, so it won't stand out from the crowd. It seems that this is latest flagship device of the manufacturer, targeting non-business users.

Don't be so excited though, as this is just an average smartphone when it comes to tech specs, and is meant for those with lower budgets.

It comes with a TFT 2.46 inches display (320 x 240 pixels resolution), QWERTY keyboard, Touch-sensitive optical trackpad, Dedicated music keys, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS support and BlackBerry Maps.

Sprint's version of the Curve 3G will obviously support the carrier's EV-DO service, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.

Other key features of the smartphone include: 2.0-megapixel camera, 256 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included).

The device is also compatible with BlackBerry App World and Sprint TV and Sprint Football Live services, and users will be able to read and edit documents.

Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 will be available from Sprint online for just $49.99, with a 2-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in-rebate.

The phone will start selling in Sprint retail stores no later than October 10th 2010.
