Canadian mobile phone users have now the possibility to enjoy a new handset on the airwaves of wireless carrier Rogers, namely the Blackberry 9300.

The new Blackberry 9300, also known as the BlackBerry Curve 3G, the new device from Research In Motion is available for purchase at Rogers in Smokey Violet, though with all the features that other versions of the smartphone include.

For what it's worth, the new color flavor adds some more appealing to the handset, though nothing else is changed.

Those interesting in purchasing the device from Rogers should be able to get it with a price tag of $49.99 attached to it upon the signing of a 3-year contract agreement with the carrier on select plans.

However, in case there are others who would like to get the smartphone free of contract, they can get it for $399.99, Rogers announced.

“Master your everyday with the BlackBerry Curve 3G. The Curve 3G promises a great multimedia experience along with the reliable email and messaging experience you have come to love from BlackBerry,” the wireless carrier notes on this device.

“Stay connected on-the-go with a fast processor, 2.0 MP camera, built-in Wi-Fi and GPS,” it adds.

In case there are some who do not know what the new smartphone is all about, we should note support for HSPA 3.6 Mbps connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n capabilities, micro USB port, and Bluetooth.

At the same time, the Blackberry 9300 comes with a QWERTY keyboard, with a 2.4-inch display that boasts a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, and a 2.0 MP camera on the back.

The new mobile phone also includes 256 MB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

Measuring 109 x 60 x 13.88 mm and weighing in at 106 grams, the new handset runs under the BlackBerry 5 OS, but should get updated to the new BlackBerry 6 OS.
