Atlus has announced the games it will be presenting next week at E3 2010 in Los Angeles, California. Those present at E3 will get to see Trine 2, Rock of Ages, Etrian Odyssey III and the PlayStation Portable port of the Nintendo DS role-playing strategy game hybrid Knights in the Nightmare at Atlus' booth. The first two titles from this list will be downloadable, while the last two will be distributed through physical media.

Trine 2 is the sequel to last year's Trine, a downloadable 2.5D action and physics platformer for the PC and the PlayStation 3. It is developed by Frozenbyte, the Finish studio that also created the first installment in the series. No information about the platforms it will be available on or the release date has been revealed by Atlus yet.

Rock of Ages is developed by Ace Team, the same studio that brought us Zeno Clash last year. It is not known yet what kind of game it will be, when it will come out and what devices will host it. Zeno Clash, the Chillian developer's first title, was a first-person shooter/brawler hybrid set in a very strange and surreal universe. The title was praised for its top-notch visuals and visceral gameplay, given the fact that it was independently funded.

Etrian Odyssey III is a role-playing game based on dungeon exploring that is not only distributed but also developed by Atlus for the Nintendo DS. It has already been released in Japan and E3 will host the Western localization of the title. The Etrian Odyssey series is known for its traditional take on gameplay, boasting a high difficulty and complex mechanics. Knights in the Nightmare is developed by Sting Entertainment and the PSP port that Atlus will be showing off at E3 promises to be very well suited to the handheld's control scheme.
