Apple today is launching its Mac Pro (Late 2013) model, featuring an all-new design, the latest Intel Xeon processors, dual GPUs, PCIe-based flash storage, and fast ECC memory, for the starting price of $2,999 (€2,181).

In usual fashion, the Cupertino computer giant has turned off the lights in its online store in order to update its virtual shelves with the new offerings. There might also be other upgrades planned for this outage.

The confirmation came yesterday via a press release from the mother ship which read, “The all-new Mac Pro will be available to order starting Thursday, December 19 through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers.”

The system sells for $2,999 (€2,181) in its lowest possible configuration, while a build-to-order option with maxed out specifications can cost up to $10,000 (€7,254).

We’ll be back to discuss the new Mac Pro when the Apple store goes back online. In the meantime, leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
