American Idol runner-up and the undeniable hottest thing on the music scene right now Adam Lambert, also known as Glambert to his many fans, has teamed up with one of the best producers in the industry for his debut album. Adam has signed with RedOne, the man behind Lady Gaga’s hits, for his first studio material, E! Online reports.

For those who are not in the know, RedOne is a highly appreciated and well-known songwriter and producer, his most famous collaborations including names like Lady Gaga, Akon, Sugarbabes, Kat Deluna, Enrique Iglesias, Michael Jackson and even New Kids on the Block. However, in order for fans to get a vague idea about what’s coming their way with Lambert’s first album, just suffice it to say that RedOne is the one who produced Gaga’s “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” both of which have helped the fashion-forward singer break previously standing music records.

Sources with RCA, with which Lambert has recently been signed, also reveal that the album will indeed have a Queen-inspired sound, but that it will come diluted with Lambert’s own sound. Speaking of which, the same insiders claim that fans hoping to see anything along the lines of what he did while a contestant on the popular singing competition might not hold their breath, since the sound approached with the new album “goes beyond what he did on Idol.”

This report seems to be a confirmation of what Adam himself was saying a while back, when asked about the sound of the upcoming material and whether he was thinking of going rock or verge towards pop, “My view of the record industry is that it’s a little too specific lately. The labels tend to try to put one box around every artist and keep them in one genre. We don’t have to go about it that way. Obviously, we want the album to have a cohesive sound. But I think it can kind of be a collection of different styles with me at the center of it [as] the common thread. I don’t want to do one specific genre. I’m more about fusion.” Lambert was stating at the time.

Adam Lambert’s debut album is scheduled to drop this fall. For more details on it, make sure you keep an eye on this space.
