On Monday, AT&T announced plans to offer an enhanced broadband experience to its users, through the expansion of its AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet Max Turbo service to all markets in which U-verse is available. According to the company, the move is expected to result in the delivery of broadband speeds of up to 24 Mbps on the downlink and up to 3 Mbps on the uplink.

The new Max Turbo offering is currently available for all AT&T U-verse residential and small business customers, providing them with the fastest Internet package AT&T can deliver. At the same time, the company notes that its AT&T U-verse services are already present in 120 markets across 22 states and that Max Turbo was launched in December 2009 in Austin, San Antonio and St. Louis.

“Max Turbo is the latest example of how we’re bringing consumers and small businesses the choice of better services and faster speeds with AT&T U-verse,” Mark Collins, senior vice president of data and voice products, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “With a large majority of U-verse TV customers bundling U-verse Internet, we know we’re giving our customers the broadband choice they want. Customers value our high-quality and integrated bundle of award-winning U-verse TV, fast Internet and voice and wireless services, and they love that we’re continually adding more to improve their experience — more features, more apps and more speed.”

The AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet Max Turbo package comes towards eligible residential customers with a price tag of $65 per month, as part of a bundle with AT&T U-verse TV. New U-verse TV customers will benefit from standard installation included in the offering, while current U-verse Internet residential and small business customers are enabled to upgrade to the new offering whenever they like. Eligible small business customers can benefit from Max Turbo for $95 per month.

“In addition to more speed, U-verse Internet customers have the freedom to enjoy their broadband connection in more places — all at no extra cost. U-verse Internet customers can stay connected with on-the-go access to the nation's largest Wi-Fi network with more than 20,000 AT&T Wi-FiSM hotspots. Consumers and small businesses can visit www.attwifi.com for a list of AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the U.S,” the company also announced
