It is generally believed that ASUS is nearing the official release date for its very first non-Eee Atom-powered portable computer system, of which we already told you a few things last week. The ASUS N10 has already surfaced in Korea, and has even been listed on an Australian reseller website, confirming that the Taiwanese manufacturer will soon be unveiling the highly anticipated product. Recently, another online reseller has listed the product with a full specifications list, and even an accompanying product gallery.

The ASUS N10 is not yet available in stock, but users can sign up to receive email notifications the very moment when that happens. Despite no official release from ASUS, JR, an online electronics retailer, has already listed the product for a whopping $850. That is the price you will have to pay in order to purchase this ASUS 10-inch netbook, powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor.

As mentioned in some of our previous posts as well, the interesting thing about the new portable system is that it combines the computing power of a netbook-ready Intel Atom CPU with the graphics capabilities of an NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS chip. This feature alone sets the N10 apart from any other configuration in ASUS' vast Eee PC lineup. In addition, it is also capable of running a Windows Vista operating system, and can offer an impressive 250GB of storage space, which is more than any other 10-inch netbook currently available on the market.

The netbook also comes with a sleek design and some very useful features, such as built-in camera, fingerprint reader and 802.11 ABGN-support. It will be equipped with 2GB of DDR2 memory, and will be available with either a 3-cell or 6-cell battery option.

However, at a second look at the system's pricing details, one can’t help but wonder whether ASUS intends to sell this as a high-end netbook, or as an entry-level notebook.
