It's been a rather busy post E3 2011 week here at Softpedia and, despite being a little bit tired after the huge event, I managed to deliver a Quick Look for the recently launched Dungeon Siege III from developer Obsidian and publisher Square Enix and for the strategy game Pride of Nations from Paradox Interactive.

We also delivered a full review of L.A. Noire.

For those who crave more to read, we have a Weekend Reading about Battlefield 3 and its pre-order controversy and one about the Wii U, the Vita and a coming crisis for video game hardware. You can also enjoy our EndWeekGame piece and we gathered up the most important news items of the week that passed us by.

On Monday, the last news from E3 got some air time, with Forza Motorsport 4 from Turn 10 and Microsoft finally getting a solid launch date and with a war of words escalating between Electronic Arts and Activision relative to the quality of Battlefield 3 when compared to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

On Tuesday, we found out more about the processing capabilities of the new Nintendo Wii U home console, with sources saying that it will be 50 percent better than the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 while analyst Michael Pachter commented that the device arrived two years too late.

Wednesday was all about upcoming launches, with THQ offering some small information about the way Dawn of War III will play, with more strategy mixed in, and with Crytek saying that it is working on the Xbox 720 and that it will be relieved next year at E3.

On Thursday, we found out that one of the reasons for the upgraded graphics abilities of the Wii U is Nintendo's desire to attract first-person shooter developers while Activision announced the existence of a third map pack for Black Ops, called Annihilation.

On Friday, another double experience weekend for Black Ops has been announced while rumors popped up about cooperative play in Mass Effect 3.
