It's an unlucky day for some, but it's been a good week for us here at Softpedia, with a review out about Magicka, the charming yet a bit messy free form wizardry video game from Paradox Interactive and Arrowhead Games, and a new series of Gamer Diaries linked to Dead Space 2.

We also have a review for Split/Second up.

In addition, we have a Weekend Reading piece where I try to envision how good Dead Space 3 might be in 2012 and an EndWeekGame article which talks about our gaming habits during this Six Nations-filled weekend.

And we have a quick look at the news dominating the week that passed.

On Monday, the newly announced Battlefield 3 from DICE received some new information from the developers, including how the game will be expanded via downloadable content and which locations will be visited.

On the same day, someone from Microsoft delivered more evidence for the rumors that the company will be launching a remake, with all new art, of Halo: Combat Evolved, the game which introduced Master Chief to the world.

On Tuesday, Konami confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3DS was being prepared for a launch date of March 25 in Europe, making it one of the launch games for the new handheld in Europe.

Meanwhile Blizzard talked about the BlizzCon event for 2011, although it did not say which games would be shown and how much of Diablo III fans would be able to play.

On Wednesday, we found out even more details about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, including information on dynamic snow and on the way the Perk system will work, while Naughty Dog offered some more information on the gameplay innovations for the next Uncharted game.

On Thursday, BioWare, the developers of Star Wars: The Old Republic, have said that the entire MMO field works with standards that have been defined by the Blizzard-made World of Warcraft.

At the same time, leaked information detailed the launch date and price for the PlayStation Portable 2. On Friday, Blizzard talked a bit more about its Titan project while also suggesting again that Diablo III might make it to consoles.
