Hudson Entertainment, a North American publishing arm for Hudson Soft, recently announced the release of Bomberman Land: Battles, which will be available for all major BREW and Java mobile phones. An award-winning series on gaming consoles, Bomberman Land: Battles follows the million-unit-selling mobile game Super Bomberman.

Fresh off his hit console game, Bomberman is back on mobile phones, in Bomberman Land: Battles, with an all-new adventure mode featuring 32 huge maps that have branching paths. With a gameplay style similar to other games in the Bomberman series, players will begin the game with a basic Bomberman, but will upgrade their character as they make their way through themed levels. Once each level is cleared, the player can pick one of three different paths.

Bomberman Land: Battles has all kinds of awesome powerups hiding in soft blocks, waiting to be unlocked. Blast the soft blocks and uncover both common power-ups on all maps, including traditional Bomberman goodies, like Bomb-Up, Fire-Up, or Speed-Up, and unique power-ups, as there's a different one in every map.

Choose your path carefully, as each of the 15 upgrades is unique to a specific path. You'll have to use those upgrades wisely to win each of the 5 huge boss battles. But it's not going to be that easy. There's plenty of evil minions blocking your way to victory. Fight your way to the boss and defeat them to unlock them as opponents in VS. mode, in which you battle against other Bombermen.

Furthermore, on top of an awesome adventure mode, the developer also threw in the classic Bomberman battle mode. Go head to head against the computer, taking on Bomberman's buddies or the bosses you've managed to unlock.
